From 16th to 25th September 2016 the Carthaginians and Romans festivity revive the founding of Cartagena, with 25 Carthaginian troops and 25Roman legions that stage for 10 days the most important feats occurred in the city in the years of its founding.
Like every year in July, Cartagena becomes a meeting place for music, photography, literature, film and visual arts that makes La Mar de Músicas an appointment not to be missed.
Dedicated to World Musics, it invites us to know other countries through their music and culture, with concerts in different points of the city and parallel activities that go around the guest country.
Next May 21st museums of Cartagena will open their doors with a wide range of activities to celebrate the International Museum Day.
This continues a tradition which began in Berlin in 1977 and will allow, for free between 20:00 and 02:00, light up the streets of the city with culture and art.
On January 30th the Carnival arrives to Cartagena, a party that brings fun and humor to the streets of the city with “comparsas y chirigotas” jokes and songs full of criticism and irony.
