YPC Environment
Yacht Port Cartagena is a marina committed to the environment. Our objectives include offering a service of excellence but being a sustainable port with a high level of environmental responsibility.
That is why in 2019, we joined the ‘Platform of Commitment for the Sustainable Development of the Port of Cartagena’ promoted by the Port Authority of Cartagena (APC), whose commitment is based on the goals set out in each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, in order to achieve a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous port community in Cartagena through the involvement, commitment and collaboration of the entities that signed it. We are currently participating in the APC’s ‘Sustainability Plan 2022-2025’.
In addition, we have held the Blue Flag since 2022, an internationally recognised award for environmental education and management, safety and service facilities and water quality in our marina.
We have been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact since 2013, submitting an annual progress report and reaffirming our support for the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour Standards, Environment and Anti-Corruption, as well as showing our commitment to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
